Being human, anger is a valid emotion--both to experience and to express. But you and the people around you at home and on the job are not served well by a steady diet of it., We believe that our children are human and might have or will experience anger in the future. So we decided to give all of you something to consider on a daily basis.
1. Do not react below the neck, but continue thinking above the neck.
2. Analyze the motives of those who push your emotional buttons. Recognize that others fell justified in behavior that looks irrational, childish, or punishing to you.
3. And finally recognize that people who are really mean, rude, or nasty to you are doing so not so much because they want to hurt you but because they are hurting. It takes considerable pain or fear to cause one person to lash out at another. Do you normally get angry with people who are hurt or fearful? If you don't know the person is hurting like your dad did not know about a former co-worker, you just might!
Think about these three thoughts and if there are any questions, email them to us and we will be glade to answer them.
Love Always,
Mon and Dad
