Subject: Life and Adversities Can Benefit and Bless Us
We are back home from our wonderful Hawaii Pro Bowl trip and find ourselves thinking about our children. We know that life and adversities are present in our daily routines sometimes. So our message to our children today is, if people could shake it off and step up, adversities could be a blessing in disguise.
It reminds me of a parable of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mules was in a well with no way out. No not a chance at all, so the owner began to bury the old mule in the well.
But as the owner contunued shoveling and the dirt hit the mule"s back, the mule became hysterical! But as the owner continued shoveling and the dirt hitting his back....the mule for no known reason started shaking it off and stepping up! Yes, you're right! It wasn't long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, Stepped Triumphantly over the wall out of that well! That's life! If we face our problems and respond to them positively, and refuse to give in to panic, bitterness, or self-pity...
THE ADVERSITIES THAT COME ALONG TO BURY US USUALLY HAVE WITHIN THEM THE POTENTIAL TO BENEFIT AND BLESS US!
Love Always,
Mom and Dad
PS: One of my favorite verses is Rom.8:28. We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
